My Sweet, Sticky Problem

Most of you know that situation– you saw some delicious-looking recipe and you just wanted to try it but oh, there was something you've never used and probably never will. In my case, it was a motherfu.... vegan cake for this year's Mother's Day and the ingredient was maple syrup. Now, could you freaking tell me what to do with it? Not that it's only sweet as fu–... me (^-^) but also the cake tasted awful (but that was most likely my fault) so I don't really yearn for eating it again.
Nevertheless, it's still resting among our honey collection and I'm wondering what to do with it. And I have to remind you of me being asexual so please... Don't say that. Any other ideas are very welcome.
So, by posting this, I've exposed my passion for cooking and baking which is deemed unusual considering my age (why?).
Kids, let me tell you a story about How I Started Cooking. I'm joking... Or not?
It started when I became a vegetarian (approx. 18 months ago). My mom cooks for the whole family and, because they're all carnivores, the meals consists of meat and something with it. How long can a human survive without food? Well, it's definitely not for the rest of her/his life. Emm, actually it is literally for the rest of it. Okay, it's not till they leave to live with another person who would cook for them. Therefore I had to manage a task that many, many, many people haven't mastered in their whole life. I had to learn to cook.
I don't have much time now so let me finish this article with this sentence: I cannot believe it's been 18 months and I still can't cook... What? Nobody said I actually learned it.

love & peace
