Seriously,
if you ever decide to express your affection or favor towards someone in Czech,
don't say "I love you" (= miluji tě). Not even a mom to her child. We
just don't say this because it sounds weird. Save it for your spouse or dear
half or whoever you actually love in an intimate, romantic way.
When
you want to say the English "I love you" to a friend/mom/dad/child,
just use "I like you" (= mám tě rád/a depending on whether you're a
boy or a girl)– and even that is too emotional for us.
