I've
watched a few videos on beauty and makeup recently. You know, I said to myself
I might try looking like a girl sometimes. But when I witnessed how much effort
they have to put into it, the idea of me ever looking like a female human went
to the places where my shattered childish dreams are. But maybe one day...
Anyway,
while watching the videos, I came upon some comments called "hates"
in slang. There are some differences between criticism and offenses/insults. I
like criticising because it helps people get better and better, however the
person who criticises has to give reasons, or testify, why he/she thinks there
was something wrong.
Whereas
insulting people doesn't give them any chance to improve their qualities; the
only thing it does is making them feel terrible and they blame themselves for
something that is not even true.
When
criticising, you have to know whether it's appropriate to complain about the
certain thing. If you watch a video on How to do your Valentine makeup, you
cannot complain about the girl's/boy's annoying voice. That's one thing.
The other
one is that most "youtubers" don't do videos to show off their
beauty, many of them don't even think they look pretty and still, there are
those people who keep telling them that they are ugly. I mean, come on.
Nobody's perfect. Not even me.
I'm not
even going to talk about judging people's personality by a two-minute video. I
don't know, I'm not a prodigy, I cannot recognize their personality traits from
seeing them on my screen, so I'm sorry if some of you are so gifted and are
able to do it.
In summary– yes, I'm all for criticisms but, as always, think first.
love & peace
